Montgomery Counseling Group (MCG) is a Charlotte-based mental health practice founded by John Burns, LCSW — a licensed clinical social worker with more than 30 years of experience across hospital settings, substance abuse treatment, family therapy, and employee assistance programs. John established MCG with a clear purpose: to deliver therapy that treats each person as an individual, not a diagnosis. MCG brings together a team of licensed clinicians who work with individuals, couples, families, and children across a broad range of mental health concerns — including anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. Collaborative InSights Therapy & Consultation offers both clinical mental health therapy and holistic wellness service. Our office is located in Charlotte, NC and we also provide virtual services across the state of North Carolina.

At Collaborative InSights we believe holistic doesn’t just mean seeing the whole person, it means integrating decolonized and culturally informed alternative healing practices with clinical therapy. Our team of therapists believe in the power of Ecotherapy (nature focused therapy), Yoga, Reiki (energy healing), and Mindfulness.
